I am an interdisciplinary movement artist, facilitator, performer, PhD researcher and mother with a creative practice situated at the intersection of embodiment, micro-politics and arts-activism. My work spans theatre, dance, and embodied practices, exploring solo and group multimedia performances that intertwine movement, text, audio, and video in dynamic dialogues with the space. My PhD practice-based research investigates how a coming together of dance and fungi—specifically the mycelium network—can foster embodied understandings of our interconnection to nature, unravelling new modes of responding to climate change. As a facilitator, I am committed to help communities find more nurturing ways of navigating the world. Central to my practice is ensuring the sustainability of emotional, social, and environmental ecologies when working solo or with groups. I believe in the power of collaboration and aim to reclaim conviviality in the face of an increasingly digital culture and precarious reality. Drawing from my lived experiences as a South American artist in London, I approach my practice through a decolonial lens, challenging dominant white Eurocentric models in arts organisations and advocating for the exchange of knowledges from the Global South. My goal is to foster new dialogues with artists, audiences, and art spaces, contributing to a more inclusive, diverse, and interconnected artistic landscape. Current performance interests revolve around exploring the topic of rubbish waste and accumulation.
