I am an interdisciplinary movement artist, facilitator, performer, PhD researcher and mother. My creative practice is situated within the realm of embodiment of micro-politics, practices of care and arts-activism. Through theatre, dance and embodied practices, my work revolves around solo and group multimedia performances that intertwine movement, text, audio and video in dialogue with the space. I’m particularly interested in channelling movement into reflecting on the complexities of our time, in animating unconventional spaces and in engaging audiences in ways that ignite empathy, agency and care. As a facilitator, I am committed to helping communities find more nurturing ways of navigating the world. Central to my practice is ensuring the sustainability of emotional, social, and environmental ecologies when working solo or with groups. I believe in the power of collaboration and aim to reclaim conviviality in the face of an increasingly digital culture and precarious reality. Drawing from my lived experiences as a South American artist in London, I adopt a decolonial approach in my work. I strive to disrupt the dominant white Eurocentric models in arts organisations and to promote the exchange of knowledge from the Global South. My goal is to open new dialogues with other artists, audiences, and arts spaces, creating a more inclusive, diverse, and interconnected artistic landscape.Current performance interests revolve around exploring the topic of rubbish waste and accumulation.
